Parking BOXX Awarded an Indigenous Business Grant From Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business in Partnership With Google Canada
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sarnia, ON, November 30, 2022 — Parking BOXX, the company that’s been in the parking systems business since 1943, is happy to announce that they’ve been awarded the Indigenous Business Grant from the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business for 2022-2023 in partnership with Google Canada, committing $1.5 million to establish programs that support Indigenous Canadian businesses.
The grant is administered through CCAB’s Tools and Financing for Aboriginal Business (TFAB) program to enhance Aboriginal entrepreneurship by providing access to digital development and growth opportunities. This program supports Google Canada’s commitment to organizing the world’s information and making it universally accessible and useful.
Indigenous businesses and communities hold a central role in the future of Canada. CCAB gives awards that facilitate the growth of the Indigenous business, connects Indigenous and non-Indigenous companies, and ensure life-long learning for Indigenous entrepreneurs and other Canadian business leaders. Celebrating Indigenous business success with the Aboriginal Business Hall of Fame (ABHF) Lifetime Achievement Award and the Aboriginal Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Award is key to informing all Canadians that change is happening. The Aboriginal Economic Development Corporation Award celebrates strengthening prosperity and opportunity. At the same time, the Award for Excellence in Aboriginal Relations recognizes the work of any individual in Canada who has contributed to enhancing relationships between Indigenous people and Canadian society.
For Parking BOXX to treat others with dignity and respect while helping their workers with the pursuit of their personal and professional growth is part of their core values. That’s why this recognition represents an extraordinary opportunity for their community.
