Former defensive end Derek Wolfe, now famous for slaying a mountain lion just months into his football retirement, is releasing a signature series of big game hunting calls with Slayer.

Eagle, Idaho, August 17, 2023- Before Derek Wolfe was tackling QBs and winning Super Bowls in the NFL, he was hunting game big and small with a bow.

Now, he’s partnering with Slayer Calls to release his own line of elk-hunting calls in February 2024. The Wolfe Untamed Signature Series will be the go-to package for hunters pushing their limits and testing their skills in the mountains.

“Slayer is an awesome company run by some really great people, and I’m so grateful to be a part of the Slayer family,” Wolfe said.

Wolfe and Slayer are launching the Wolfe Untamed Signature Series at the Western Hunting & Conservation Expo in Salt Lake City from Feb. 15-18. Wolfe will be signing autographs in the Slayer Calls booth for fans inspired by Wolfe’s adventures in the field – or his professional athletic pursuits on the field.

Wolfe might be better known for his unyielding pursuit of quarterbacks during his 10-season career with the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens, but made national news for hunting a Colorado mountain lion not long into his retirement.

Since then, the ex-football player has launched his own web series and podcast, Wolfe Untamed, to share his bow-hunting adventures across the country. He’s been a guest on The MeatEater Podcast and The Joe Rogan Experience, and he graced the cover of Eastmans’ Journal with his big cat in his arms.
