Freed Marcroft Divorce & Family Law Firm’s Mission & Values Attracts Highly-Focused Attorney to Their Team
The distinguished Hartford-based firm is pleased to announce the addition of Attorney Nicholle Guerette.
Hartford, Connecticut, April 30, 2024— In its continued commitment to providing exceptional legal services to their valued clients, Freed Marcroft Divorce & Family Law has announced that they have expended their dynamic legal team and welcomed Attorney Nicholle Guerette to their organization.
Attorney Guerette achieved her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Florida in 2016, followed by her Juris Doctor (cum laude) from Quinnipiac Law School in 2020. Her studies were concentrated in Tax Law, as well as International Law and Policy. During her studies, she served as the President of the Student Bar Association and the Women’s Law Society, and has dedicated a substantial amount of her time to independent study focused on gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, and prison reform.
Guerette began her legal career in Tax Law, working mostly with small companies and individuals who needed guidance to plan for their financial future. She gained experience in Family Law and Estate Planning and learned how important it is for families to financially prepare for the future. However, she quickly realized that family law was where her passion truly resided.
Transitioning into family law made sense to Guerette for two bold reasons. The first is that she could use her past experience with financial planning to benefit those individuals going through divorce, as a significant part of the divorce process is dedicated to finances. The second is that she knew she would be making a difference in the lives of her clients. She feels that if she is able to make a potentially difficult experience just a little easier on a family, then she will have done her part. Her ultimate goal is to prevent families from letting divorce or separation get the better of them and do whatever it takes to get them to the other side feeling confident in the decisions they made.
Thus, Guerette found her home at Freed Marcroft. “I was drawn to Freed Marcroft because of the strong circle of women at its core,” she stated. “I truly stand by the saying that when a woman stands up for herself, she stands up for all women…[the firm’s] adoption work after the overturn of Roe was so inspiring, and the firm’s dedication to marriage equality is really incredible.”
Co-owner and co-founding attorney Meghan Freed says of Guerette, “We are thrilled to be able to add Nicholle to our team. She has a true passion for family law and strives to serve her clients with compassion and understanding. She fits right in with the Freed Marcroft family.”
