Card Options

The Expensify card is not part of the plan you choose. You need to apply for the Expensify card separately.

Bento has multiple card types (Spend Limit and Fixed Value) to customize your spending as per your business needs. Most importantly, you can use as many cards as you like based on the plan you choose.

Debit/Credit Card

Expensify cards are credit cards.

Bento cards are business debit cards. No credit checks and no surprises. All spending happens in real-time from your Bento account balance.

Monthly Spending Limit

Expensify draws funds from your bank accounts linked with them.

You set your monthly spending limits for each card, we do not monitor your bank account balance.

Fees/Pricing

Charges per user. Different prices for different expense management features.

You get access to all the great features, irrespective of the plan you’re on. The only thing that changes per plan is the number of cards you’re allowed to issue. We do not charge per user.

Approval Process/Workflow

Features an Approvals workflow that requires approvals before spending.

We have completely eliminated this process. That’s what our card controls are here for! Card controls allow for pre-approved spending.

Automated Expense Reporting

Supports manual expense reporting.

Bento syncs all your transactions in real-time, eliminating the need for manual expense reports.

Receipt Automatching
