If the leaves are a little yellow or brown, don’t panic. The reason for this is shock. It’s still getting used to its new environment.

2. Anthurium Crystallinum
   

The anthurium crystallinum plant comes from South and Central America. The heart-shaped leaves are only one thing that makes these beautiful indoor house plants stand out.

The leaves are dark in color with prominent white veins. Like the aglaonema plant, direct sunlight will harm the anthurium’s leaves. At the end of the day, however, this is a tropical plant.

It needs plenty of sunshine to thrive. Make sure that it has some partial shade but don’t keep it out of the light. If your hometown sees harsh winters, this isn’t the house plant for you because it enjoys the heat.

You might have to pick up a few grow lights to meet its temperature requirements. During the winter, you can go a little over a week without watering your plant. It will need much more in the summer.

Whatever you do, don’t overdo it with the water. If you do, it will rot the roots. To avoid this, we recommend picking up soil that has good drainage.

3. Aluminum Plant
   

The aluminum plant gets its name from the silver pattern on its leaves. To keep these leaves looking gorgeous, you’ll have to prune them at least once a year to stimulate growth.

Direct sunlight will burn the leaves and make them turn brown. They do need to be exposed to at least four hours of indirect sunshine each day, though.

Their temperature requirements range between 60-75 degrees. Their watering needs vary depending on the time of year. During the spring and summer, you should keep the top quarter layer of soil moist.

During the winter and fall, let it dry out before watering the plant again. Don’t purchase an aluminum plant if you have dogs or cats. The leaves are poisonous to them.

4. Nerve Plant
   

The nerve plant has dark green leaves with colorful veins extending throughout. These veins can be a variety of colors ranging from white to red.

We’ll warn you that growing this plant isn’t for the faint of heart. It can be picky in terms of water and soil. You have to make sure that they stay moist, so you’ll need to keep a spray bottle handy.

It grows best in bright but indirect sunlight. The soil you choose to grow it in should be able to hold in some moisture while also allowing for good drainage.

These plants mostly make their home in the tropical rainforests. This means that they love humidity.

5. Living Stones

Watering is the biggest thing when it comes to taking care of these strange plants. It goes through two dormant periods during the year. These periods are winter and summer.

Whatever you do, don’t water them during this time. Pick up a normal watering schedule again in the spring and fall, but don’t overdo it. Only give them enough to moisten the soil when it gets dry.
