1. Rotary Phase Converters

The parts of this converter include two crucial components, the generator which produces the central power by a rotating motion. And the control unit that manages the circuitry. As the generator spins, the action will cause the 3rd line to emerge, together with other two-phase lines and there comes the three-phase converter.
This type of converter has a grip on the load, either motor, resistive, or inductive. When the panels open and shut the circuit for a balance of power, the converter provides a consistent source of energy.
The rotary converter can further be subdivided into other three types;
I. Standard phase converter
This is a pretty basic kind which features the same one to three power source mechanism. The circuit controls are managed digitally making them suitable and economical. They work best for table saws or other metal works.
II. Digital phase converter
This type is built more intense for high inertia motor loads. Even though it can’t handle all other three loads, its motor generation, and electric circuitry adds an excellent boost to the tool. They work best for fans, pumps, blowers, and other smaller machinery.
III. Rotary converter control panels
The final kind of rotary phase converters is the control panel. This kind needs additional equipment like the motor to function effectively. It only features the joints for input and output, capacitors, and motor systems. The idle engines have to be added by the user.

2. Static Phase Converters

The static phase converter will produce enough energy for the first load of the machinery. Which is why it only contains the motor starting capacitors and starting relays. The function of the motor is to charge up the machine by sending electric waves on the third sine wave.
Once the load begins to run, the capacitors will quickly disconnect, leaving the power phase derailed off its 3rd wheel. This is why it’s not as powerful as the rotary. And also why it cannot maintain constant energy production.
The static converter has two subtypes as well;
I. Standard Heavy Duty
A classic three-phase motor used for light to medium range loads. Though more robust than the high low, this kind can only handle so much.
II. High Low Horsepower
The horsepower on this motor is slightly lower than 330 volts. It’s a two in one unit which allows for limitations of the power settings.
Both phase converters provide low energy for your machinery regardless of being heavy-duty or high low. They are more of a support feature than the whole power source to a piece of machinery.
3. Digital Phase Converters
These types of converters don’t exist on their own. Combines especially with the rotary type, it allows for electric circuitry to the converted easing up the running of the load.
Most of these converters have switches to control their power transmission.
This is an economic and safety requirement for many industries. For example, for industrial companies, these digital phase converters allow for minimizing of energy costs while maintaining the work efficiency.
Applications of Phase Converters
