Milpitas, CA, June 26, 2023— Vaidya. Sheena Sooraj (BAMS – Ayurvedic Doctor) first partnered with Kerala Ayurveda in 2017 and is newly appointed as Chief Clinical Officer. She is an experienced Ayurvedic practitioner from Kerala, India. Coming from a family with a strong Ayurvedic background, she developed her passion for Ayurveda at a young age, as her grandfather was a well-known Ayurvedic physician and astrologer. She received her Bachelors Degree in Ayurvedic Medical Science from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, and is currently studying Natural Medicine at Indiana University.

Vaidya. Sheena started practicing at Veda Charitable Trust Hospital while completing her residency. She later opened and operated an Ayurvedic clinic in Bangalore for 12 years and served as an authorized dealer of Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala. She has successfully managed a wide range of diseases and has rich experience in supporting clients with allergic disorders, skin diseases such as psoriasis, digestive and respiratory diseases, joint disorders, infertility cases, and autoimmune diseases.

She is an active advocate of Ayurveda and is an experienced public speaker on its importance in daily life, having led talks at schools, corporate offices, banks, and industry conferences. Her objective is to guide her clients to achieve health in a natural way and continually add value to her profession through initiative, innovation, and experience.

Vaidya. Sheena is known to Kerala Ayurveda wellness clients for her 1-on-1 sessions and for guiding the annual Spring Cleanse. She is also a beloved faculty member of the Academy specializing in professional training. As the new Chief Clinical Officer, she will be heading the clinical operations of the Wellness Center, including the clinical training of Kerala Ayurveda Academy.

The Wellness Team also welcomes Dr. Natalia (Olivia) Esuabana (ND, AD, AWP, YT500), an Ayurvedic Specialist, Consultant & Naturopathic Doctor. Dr. Olivia is a holistic healer who follows the basic tenets of Naturopathic Medicine: Vis Medicatrix Naturae, or Healing Power of Nature. The patient-as-healer approach is a central focus of her medical practice.

Combining her experience as an Ayurvedic practitioner with Naturopathic medicine allows Dr. Olivia to educate and guide patients using diet, movement, meditation, self-care techniques, and herbal preparations on their health journey.

Dr. Olivia is a lifelong student of alternative medicine, following the footsteps of two generations of medical professionals. She started her career by graduating from an allopathic medical school, practicing general medicine and ophthalmology in Russia, Ukraine, and West Africa.

She discovered Ayurveda as a more effective and natural way to care for her health and never looked back. She studied Ayurveda in the US and India, became an Ayurvedic practitioner, and completed 500 hours of Yoga teacher training. In 2020 Dr. Olivia graduated from the well-known Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington, with a degree in Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. At present, Dr. Olivia is pursuing a third-level Ayurvedic certification from Kerala Ayurveda Academy.

Dr. Olivia is Kerala Ayurvedas first Naturopathic Doctor to join the Wellness team and offer integrative medical services.

Vaidya. Sheena and Dr. Olivia are both available for consultations in person or virtually. Kerala Ayurveda Wellness Center is located at 691 S Milpitas Blvd Suite 206 in Milpitas, CA. Its services include Ayurvedic and Ayur-Yoga Consultations, traditional Kerala-style bodywork therapies, and Panchakarma detoxification packages.
