One container of Maruchan instant noodles can have 1,190 to 1,280 milligrams of salt. Therefore, if you want optimal health, it’s best not to have this particular brand of instant noodle soup often.
Luckily for all of us instant noodle lovers, Maruchan isn’t the only brand out there. There are plenty of healthy instant soup options. This can help us health nuts indulge in this popular comfort food without worrying about ruining our bodies.
To learn all about some of the best instant noodles for healthy diets, read the list below.
Vite Ramen
The main selling point of Vite Ramen is that these instant noodles have all the nutrition necessary for a human. The creator intended to create a product which was similar to nutritionally complete powders like Soylent but was actual food.
Along with the unique vitamin blend known as noodtrients, this Ramen does well in other caloric areas as well. There are around 30 grams of protein, 12 grams of fat, and only 575 milligrams of salt. Of course, some variation exists with these factors between the different flavors.
One Culture Foods
The Southern California-based brand has a few different options for ready to eat soup. Along with spicy ramen, the company also offers pho, Taiwanese beef noodle soup, and Chinese-style chicken noodle soup. All of these instant soup options have a bone broth base made with non-GMO ingredients, no preservatives or additives, and bones that are 100% organic.
As a bonus, the owner of the business has made sure to not sacrifice taste for healthiness. He did his best to imitate the authentic heritage flavors found in high-quality noodle shops everywhere. This dedication has led to a flavorful soup with perfectly textured noodles.
Immi
Several qualities make Immi an extremely healthy choice. To start with, all three flavors of this instant soup use plant-based proteins as a replacement for the usual meat-based ones. Beyond that, each healthy instant soup packet has a whopping 21 grams of protein.
While there is sadly a good 850 mg of salt in this soup, that is still a lower amount than most of the unhealthy brands. Also, Immi isn’t available in any grocery stores as of now. You can, however, order soup online from the Immi official site or Amazon.
Noma Lim
This noodle company, named after its Singaporean-raised creator, sells bone broth and ramen instant noodle cups. These come in a few different flavors: dan dan, spicy miso, and green curry broth. Similar to One Culture Foods, this brand also prioritizes having instant noodle soup that is both tasty and healthy.
One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the noodles in this ready to eat soup aren’t shelf stable. You’ll need to keep these fresh noodles refrigerated until you’re ready to chow down. Whether or not that’s a downside probably depends on your perspective.
Mike’s Mighty Good
Instant ramen cooks so fast because the noodles have been cooked before they go into the packet. Unfortunately, frying in oil, which is super unhealthy, is the most popular method. Mike’s, however, steams its fully organic noodles instead of cooking them.
The noodles aren’t the only health benefit of this four-years-in-the-making, restaurant-quality ramen. They also have double the protein of most cheaper ramen and less than half the sodium.
Nissin All-In Instant Noodles
Traditionally, the ready to eat soup produced by Nissin was about as unhealthy as the Maruchan type. However, Nissin has turned a new leaf and is offering a new product that is much healthier than its original creation.
Similarly to Vite Ramen, these noodles carry all the nutrients necessary for daily healthy functioning. This includes 13 minerals, 13 vitamins, fiber, and proteins. The only bad thing about this healthy instant soup is that it’s not yet available in the United States.
House Foods
House Foods’ main healthy selling point is that its ramen is made of tofu rather than wheat. As a result, this ramen has a lot more protein and far fewer carbs. It’s also great for those who are gluten intolerant or follow a gluten-free diet.
As a bonus, the texture of the noodles isn’t sacrificed in this switch of ingredients. These noodles have nearly the same feel as wheat noodles. The only difference is that they’re slightly softer.
Oh So Tasty
Last, but certainly not least, there is our healthy instant soup. Our Kanten seaweed new’dles are created using a traditional 400-year-old process developed in Kyoto, Japan. This involves gathering and preparing the seaweed, chilling it into large bricks, and then slicing those bricks into long flat noodles.
This nutritional profile packs our noodle cups with tons of fiber. It also makes them gluten-free, keto-friendly, vegan, and low-carb! Each of our six individual flavor cups boasts only 75 calories in total.
Beyond that, our soups have no MSG, low sodium, and no GMO products. Even with all of this, you can still enjoy the convenience of regular instant noodles. Our cups only require a mere 60 seconds of cooking time.
